Vesuvius Mow Down Bullets, 10-1

The Cape Verde Vesuvius got a stellar performance from pitcher Antonio Pena, who handcuffed the Biloxi offense en route to a 10-1 win at Conduit Caverns. The Vesuvius, now 3-0, have been on a roll in the early going.

Adam Wendt aided the Cape Verde cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Eduardo Flores said.
