Black Bears Get Road Win, 8-3

Getting a good performance from right fielder Connor Archer, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Spokane Bulldogs, 8-3. Archer went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Black Bears. Fraser Valley starter Derrek Bathauer was credited with the win after throwing 96 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Black Bears, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
