| Marauders Lose, 6-2, at The Hive | Madison played host to Bradenton at the friendly confines of The Hive.
The Madison Beehive topped the Bradenton Marauders, 6-2, in Roy Halladay League action at The Hive. The player of the game was Madison pitcher and Tacoma, Washington native Leon Green. Green, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. The save was credited to Kris Richardson, his 1st.
The Beehive got a big at-bat from second baseman Jesus Najera. For the game, Najera went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Madison a 3-2 lead.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Green.
