| Bullets Edge Robins, 9-8 | Biloxi withstood an impressive performance by Bristol center fielder Pablo Diaz to defeat the Robins, 9-8, at The Sand Dune. Diaz was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Anthony McDaniel picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Francisco Varela took the loss. The save was credited to Eddie Lara, his 1st.
The Bullets benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fifth. With Chris Walker at bat and Biloxi trailing 7-3, the Bristol miscue allowed Biloxi to plate 1 and take the lead, 7-4.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Walker. "But I like how we're playing right now."
The Bullets, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.
