| Ducks Solve Black Bears, 6-5 | Long Island withstood an impressive performance by Fraser Valley third baseman Mark Wolter to defeat the Black Bears, 6-5, at Long Island Stadium. Wolter was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Ducks raised their record to 1-1.
The Ducks got a big at-bat from catcher Vincent Robinson. For the game, Robinson was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Long Island a 6-5 lead.
