It was a fun time at Conduit Caverns, where the Pacifica Shamrocks and Cape Verde Vesuvius tangled.

The Cape Verde Vesuvius grabbed a 8-2 win over the Pacifica Shamrocks at Conduit Caverns. Cape Verde designated hitter Danny Frampton went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Reliever Carlos Romero picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Bill Schindler took the loss.

The Vesuvius got a big at-bat from center fielder Jasper Boland. For the game, Boland was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Cape Verde a 2-1 lead.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Cape Verde skipper Eduardo Flores.
