| Multi-HR Game for Márquez in 8-7 Win | The Sandy Springs Spartans opened their 2038 season with a disappointing 8-7 loss to the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Coliseum. Right Fielder Ramón Márquez was a big part of the win for DeKalb. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice.
Márquez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 curveball from Bryan Marks, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Cornhuskers a 8-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Márquez.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said DeKalb manager Eduardo Varerla.
