Aeropostales Continue Skid Thanks to Rodriguez, Canadians

The Vancouver Canadians downed the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 16-6, at Stanley Park. The Canadians were led by Omar Rodriguez, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Vancouver reliever Jan Woodbury picked up the win to move to 4-2. Ed Sawyers suffered the loss. Indian Wells has now lost 7 in a row.

The Canadians got a big at-bat from first baseman Randy Stackhouse. For the game, Stackhouse was 1-2 with a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 34th double of the season gave Vancouver a 4-3 lead.
