| Canadians Bang Out 7-6 Win Versus Indian Wells | The Vancouver Canadians and Indian Wells Aeropostales obliged those fans who came to Stanley Park hoping for an exciting game.
The Vancouver Canadians beat the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 7-6 at Stanley Park, in part due to right fielder Danny Soto, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Brad Harr earned his 11th save in 14 chances.
The Canadians got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Ken Baker. For the game, Baker was 1-1. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 22nd hit of the season gave Vancouver a 5-4 lead.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Soto, "but we got it done."
