| Raiders Squelch Redbirds Offense in Shutout Win | The Reno Raiders picked up a win at House of Pain, knocking off the Candiac Redbirds, 3-0. Starting pitcher Alejandro Fernandez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Diego Contreras converted his 35th save in 41 tries. Reno is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Wei-qiang Ju, who is tied for 6th in the TAAA in runs scored with 92, chipped in for Reno with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
