| Sphinx Score Late to Upend Bears, 7-5 | Cairo center fielder Devin Colvin was a significant contributor in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Birmingham Bears. He went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Cairo. The second-place Sphinx now have a 4-game winning streak.
Colvin had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 cutter from Daniel Farley, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Sphinx a 7-5 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Colvin.
