Flash Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras

Fairfield withstood an impressive performance by Silver Lake center fielder Marcos Serrano to defeat the Baristas, 9-5, at Ashton Gate. Serrano went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Flash bumped their record to 87-71 with this latest triumph.

The Flash got a big at-bat from designated hitter Esteban Rivera. For the game, Rivera went 1-6 with a double. He scored 2 runs. In the top of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Fairfield a 6-5 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rivera said after the game.
