| Cacti Edge Past Canadians, 2-1 | The Vancouver Canadians wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter David Peralta, falling 2-1 to the Albuquerque Cacti at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Guo-xiu Du got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The Cacti bumped their record to 84-74 with this latest triumph.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Albuquerque shortstop Rafael Santos, facing Cai-fei Men, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cacti the 2-1 win.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Albuquerque manager John Greenwood.
