| Canadians Clip Cacti, 5-4 | Benefiting from Randy Stackhouse's productive game, the Vancouver Canadians downed the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-4. Stackhouse went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Canadians. Vancouver reliever Rogelio Pino was credited with the win, to go to 6-4. Mario Deleón took the loss for Albuquerque. Vancouver is now 72-85.
Had Rob Bjorndahl not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bjorndahl hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Canadians.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Stackhouse.
