| Redbirds Roll to 9-2 Win Over Bumblebees | The Candiac Redbirds downed the Pasadena Bumblebees, 9-2, at Municipal Stadium. The Redbirds were led by Roberto Ayala, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Candiac reliever Tomas Fuentes picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Alex Acevedo took the loss. The Redbirds now have a record of 58-99 with the win over Pasadena.
Ayala had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Redbirds went on to win.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Wilfred Brooks.
