| Multi-HR Game for Szema in 7-5 Win | A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Hai-dong Szema led the Birmingham Bears to a 7-5 win over the Fairfield Flash. Birmingham now sits in 5th place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division at 65-91.
The Bears got a big at-bat from shortstop Harlan Sanderson. For the game, Sanderson was 1-2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 24th double of the season gave Birmingham a 6-4 lead.
In postgame comments to the Birmingham Daily, Sanderson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
