| Argonauts Prevail, 7-6, Over Antioch | Antioch shortstop Bradley Jones had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Jones was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5, even as Astoria beat the Coal Miners, 7-6. Jones was named the player of the game despite the loss. The 5th-place Argonauts improved to 65-89.
The Argonauts got a big at-bat from right fielder Eddie Lannigan. For the game, Lannigan went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Astoria a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Lannigan. "And not try to do too much."
