| Paczkis Jolt Canadians with Late Rally | The Canton Paczkis defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 3-1, in RCL AAA action at Mckinley Park, with Canton pitcher Jonathan Salas named player of the game. Reliever Chris Long picked up the win. His record improves to 2-3. Jesús Ordóñez took the loss. The Paczkis bumped their record to 82-72 with this latest triumph.
Had Ramon Abreu not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Abreu hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Paczkis.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Canton manager Brian Moore.
