Freeze Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Joplin

Minneapolis Freeze starter Alex Munoz was in fine form against the Joplin Fireballs at The Ice Box, leading his team to a 6-3 win. The winner was Gabriel Bernard in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jacob Willard took the loss. The second-place Freeze improved to 81-74.

Had Travis Walsh not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Walsh hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Freeze.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Walsh. "And not try to do too much."
