| Victory Pushes Marauders Record to 18-15 | The Maple Marauders got a magnificent effort from pitcher Mitsunari Kobayashi, who kept Vancouver hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Marauders win at Legends Park. Kobayashi, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. The Marauders bumped their record to 18-15 with this latest triumph.
Tommy Buford, who is tied for 9th in the TML in doubles with 8, aided the Maple cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Buford.
