| Flash Come Back Late to Clip Bears | Birmingham pitcher Craig Collier gave the Flash all they could handle, but in the end, Fairfield left Edgbaston with a 5-3 win. Collier allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 5 innings. Eduardo Fuentez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 31 save opportunities. Fairfield is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Flash got a big at-bat from left fielder Lorenzo Romero. For the game, Romero was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Fairfield a 5-3 lead.
