| Canadians Need Extras to Top Cats | Vancouver got a strong outing from John Gayden as the Canadians defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 4-2, at LaGrave Field. Brad Harr, credited with the win, is now 2-5. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1 innings. Jesús Ordóñez notched his 4th save in 5 chances.
The Canadians got a big at-bat from center fielder Hugo Rodriguez. For the game, Rodriguez went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 101st hit of the season gave Vancouver a 3-2 lead.
"I liked his command," said Vancouver manager Anthony Weinstein. "John was throwing strikes."
The Canadians move to 69-82 with the win, while the Cats drop to 80-72.
