The Fairfield Flash defeated the Cairo Sphinx, 5-1, in RCL AAA action at Pharaoh's Temple, with Fairfield pitcher Chang-se Kim named player of the game. Kim, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 4 walks.
Lorenzo Romero, the 25th overall pick in the 2037 draft, contributed to the Fairfield win with a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
