| Mustangs Win in Extras | Billings beat Peoria at Cobb Field, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to shortstop Jorge Ortega, who earned player of the game honors. The Mustangs bumped their record to 86-64 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Pedro Pérez. For the game, Pérez was 1 for 4 with a walk. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Billings a 7-6 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ortega said.
