Bumblebees Come Back Late to Top Raiders

The Reno Raiders got a superb performance from pitcher Alejandro Fernandez, but the Pasadena Bumblebees still won the game, 5-4. Fernandez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. The 4th-place Bumblebees now have a 5-game winning streak.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pasadena pinch hitter Randy Jesso, facing Diego Contreras, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bumblebees the 5-4 win.

"Both teams played hard," said Pasadena manager Wilfred Brooks.
