| Loss to Grays Extends Midland Losing Streak | The Midland Rockhounds got a superb performance from third baseman Kaiji Nagata. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Georgia. The Grays won the game, 6-3. In spite of the loss, Nagata was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Georgia reliever Mike Huerta picked up the win to move to 2-3. Danny Zafra suffered the loss. Joe Kearns recorded his 12th save for Georgia.
German Salazar, who is tied for 6th in the TML in bases on balls with 19, chipped in for Georgia with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
Salazar called the win "a collective effort."
The Rockhounds drop to 13-17 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
