| Iwamoto Slugs Sphinx to 10-4 Win | The Cairo Sphinx downed the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 10-4, at Pharaoh's Temple. The Sphinx were led by Tadahisa Iwamoto, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The second-place Sphinx now have a 5-game winning streak.
Henry Morris drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate for Cairo. The 31-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tatsuma Okura. It was his 47th RBI of the season.
