Raiders Continue Skid Thanks to Orozco, Kodiaks

Carlos Orozco made an impact in the 9-6 Calgary win over Reno. Orozco went 3-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Calgary reliever Alex Nambo picked up the win to move to 6-0. Steve King suffered the loss. Edgardo Sáenz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 5 save opportunities.

The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from left fielder John Thompson. For the game, Thompson went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 84th hit of the season gave Calgary a 6-5 lead.
