| Rockets Get Past Reno for 4-3 Win | The Reno Rockets faced a tough opponent in Reno pitcher Alejandro Fernandez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Red Rocket Field by a final score of 4-3. Fernandez went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Reno reliever Lynn Clark picked up the win to move to 8-7. Alejandro Fernandez suffered the loss. Reno now owns a record of 61-84.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Reno left fielder Ray Bailey, facing Gerry LaForest, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rockets the 4-3 win.
Bailey told a Reno Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
