Indian Wells played host to Billings at the friendly confines of Stars Field.

Indian Wells starter Ed Sawyers pitched effectively against the Billings Mustangs at Stars Field. The left-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Sawyers got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Sawyers allowed 2 earned runs.
