| Phantoms Score Late to Upend Argonauts, 5-3 | Astoria got a terrific performance from pitcher Chris Pelton, but it wasn't enough to beat the Coronado Phantoms. Coronado won the Golden Fleece Park contest, 5-3. Pelton was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Scott Bernard notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. The Phantoms saw their record improve to 57-84.
Yasuzo Doi helped out the Coronado cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
