| Cacti Need Extras to Top Freeze | The Minneapolis Freeze got a superb performance from pitcher Ted Mengel, but the Albuquerque Cacti still won the game, 6-2. Mengel was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs. Minneapolis has now lost 6 straight.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from right fielder Dustin Adkinson. For the game, Adkinson was 1-4 with a double and 2 walks. In the top of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 29th double of the season gave Albuquerque a 3-2 lead.
