| Argonauts Rally For Late Win Over Raiders | The Astoria Argonauts picked up a win at Golden Fleece Park, knocking off the Reno Raiders, 5-3. Starting pitcher Miguel Rodríguez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Eric Martindale picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-5. Travis Zastrow was tagged with the loss. Reno has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The Argonauts got a big at-bat from designated hitter Keisaku Yamashita. For the game, Yamashita was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Astoria a 5-3 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Rodríguez.
