| Cacti Stymie Birmingham, Take 3-0 Win | The Cacti had to overcome a fine performance from Birmingham pitcher Brian Christ to grab a 3-0 win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Christ allowed no earned runs over 5 innings. The first-place Cacti now have a 4-game winning streak.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from third baseman John Rose. For the game, Rose went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Albuquerque a 2-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Rose.
