| Rook Helps Argonauts Beat Raiders | The Astoria Argonauts downed the Reno Raiders, 10-6, at Golden Fleece Park. Gart Rook led the way, going 3-for-4 for Astoria. The win was credited to Eric Martindale in relief. His record improves to 5-5. Théophile Richard took the loss. The Argonauts improve their record to 56-82 with the win over Reno.
Rook had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Théophile Richard, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Argonauts a 9-6 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Rook.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rook.
