| Caterpillars Lose, 4-3, at The Death Star | Detroit starter Ron Harris pitched effectively against the Peoria Caterpillars at The Death Star. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Detroit reliever Yukihiro Nakamoto picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Nick Clouse shouldered the loss. Detroit goes to 80-57. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
Willis Ortiz drew 4 walks for Detroit. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Nick Clouse. It was his 90th walk of the season.
