| Bombers Subdue Pasadena, 3-1 | Bronx starter Jerry Hughes had a strong outing against the Pasadena Bumblebees at Bronx Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Jeremy Carr earned his 15th save in 20 chances. The Bombers bumped their record to 75-62 with this latest triumph.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from center fielder Peter Wright. For the game, Wright went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 16th hit of the season gave Bronx a 3-1 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Wright. "I saw the ball well."
