| Flash Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Aeropostales | Jake Polander left his imprint on the 6-5 Fairfield win against the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Polander went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Bill Schindler picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Curtis Wood was tagged with the loss. The Flash bumped their record to 74-60 with this latest triumph.
Polander had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Curtis Wood, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Flash a 6-5 lead. It was the 4th hit of the year for Polander.
"This place was rocking at the end," Polander said.
