| Cats Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bears | Fort Worth beat Birmingham at Edgbaston, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder T.J. Oster, who earned player of the game honors. The Cats bumped their record to 72-63 with this latest triumph.
Had Lyle Wolochow not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Wolochow hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Cats.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Wolochow said.
