| Foucher Helps Sphinx Run Win Streak to 4 | The Cairo Sphinx defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 19-1, at Phantoms Field. Cairo right fielder Noam Foucher was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Jun Nakayama got the win, improving to 10-11. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Cairo has now won 4 in a row.
Foucher had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Sphinx went on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Foucher told the Cairo Gazette.
