| Baristas Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Canton | Silver Lake withstood an impressive performance by Canton first baseman Dallas Fugate to defeat the Paczkis, 6-5, at Ashton Gate. Fugate went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Silver Lake reliever Jose Caceres got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Chris Long was tagged with the loss. Silver Lake leads the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division by 2½ games.
The Baristas got a big at-bat from shortstop António González. For the game, González went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 76th hit of the season gave Silver Lake a 6-5 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," González told the Silver Lake Times.
