Joplin left fielder Art Barker was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Luis Rodríguez got the win, improving to 9-8. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The Fireballs raised their record to 63-70.
