Raiders Clip Coal Miners in Tight Contest

Both teams had their chances, but the Reno Raiders eventually prevailed at House of Pain.

Reno Raiders starter Iemitsu Shiroi was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Antioch Coal Miners, 4-3. Reno reliever Diego Contreras got the win, raising his record to 2-4. Sung-your Park was tagged with the loss.

Orrin Martell was the walk-off hero for Reno. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Raiders third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Martell called the win "a collective effort."

Reno goes to 58-77, Antioch to 85-50.
