| Canadians Subdue Pasadena, 4-3 | Fans who came to Stanley Park watched the Vancouver Canadians and the Pasadena Bumblebees fight to the finish.
Vancouver pitcher Jan Woodbury did his part in helping his team beat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Vancouver is 61-71 and Pasadena, with the loss, 62-69.
Hugo Rodriguez had a big 2-run single for the Canadians in the bottom of the second inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Danny Zomosa and stroked the single to center. It was his 81st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Canadians ahead, 3-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Woodbury said.
