| Sasquatch Slip Past Maple, 6-5 | Despite a great performance by Maple left fielder Tommy Buford, the Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Marauders by the score of 6-5 at Legends Park. Buford was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Seattle reliever Dino De Buono was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Minoru Aoki took the loss. Quiang Tu got credit for the save for Seattle. It was his 9th of the year.
Jesus Villanueva aided the Seattle cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Big win," said Villanueva.
The Sasquatch, now 21-9, have been on a roll in the early going.
