| Coal Miners Win at Albuquerque, 3-0 | Antioch right-hander Bob Tamez was sensational in shutting out the Albuquerque Cacti, 3-0. Tamez went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 4-7. Sung-your Park converted his 28th save in 33 tries.
The Coal Miners got a big at-bat from first baseman Oscar Garcia. For the game, Garcia was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 61st hit of the season gave Antioch a 1-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Tamez said after the game.
