| Sphinx Drop Kodiaks with Late Score | The Cairo Sphinx scored a 4-3 win versus the Calgary Kodiaks at Pharaoh's Temple. Cairo pitcher Garth Daniels nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Cairo currently is in third place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division at 72-61.
Héctor Cabrera in the bottom of the ninth had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and the Sphinx trailing 3-2, the Cairo shortstop drew a walk.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Daniels told the Cairo Gazette.
