| Caterpillars Fall Short at Canton | The inspired effort of Peoria catcher Jack Zapor was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Canton Paczkis. Zapor went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Tom Cropper picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Nick Clouse took the loss. Keisaburo Kanada converted his 4th save in 4 tries.
Ramon Abreu hit a bases-clearing triple off Chris Sanchez in the bottom of the third, which put the Paczkis in front, 3-1. In addition to the triple, Abreu had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
