| Bears Can't Finish, Lose 7-4 | The Minneapolis Freeze topped the Birmingham Bears by the score of 7-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Keita Sato. Sato was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Freeze on the day. Reliever Jesus Espinoza picked up the win. His record improves to 7-7. Daniel Farley took the loss. Sean Bonin converted his 3rd save in 4 tries.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from third baseman Dane Maibach. For the game, Maibach went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 6-4 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sato.
