Canadians Win at Bronx, 10-5

The Vancouver Canadians knocked off the Bronx Bombers, 10-5, at Bronx Ballpark. Hugo Rodriguez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Vancouver won. The center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Tommy Brereton was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Bronx has now lost 5 consecutive games.

The Canadians beat the Bombers with some clutch hitting. The home run by Cheol-chung Back in the top of the third is a good example. With two down, Back gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he came through with the big hit.
